Q1 was a very interesting for the Android market (unless your HTC of course). Though there were no huge or drastic changes, the changes we did see revealed some huge realities.
Android itself is growing extremely fast and Apple is becoming a bit less exciting as time goes by. However one huge difference between the two brands has always been there is one iPhone maker and many Android makers. However Q1 of this year, Samsung claimed 95% of all profits for Android sales. Which means there are really just two main competitors, Samsung and Apple.
Q2 may change this drastically, with Google IO happening, the HTC One picking up steam, and other manufactures trying to keep up. Or it may further prove to us that Samsung is the competition, not Android.
